Greenwood Addition

Working with a tight budget while creating an addition that tied in seamlessly with the existing house was a challenge on this project. A couple ways the project costs were kept in line were by using Ikea cabinets and vinyl windows. A soffit and crown moulding was designed to align with the Ikea upper cabinets to create a built-in feel. A custom built table with benches was also added at the east end of the kitchen overlooking the garden. The vinyl windows are recessed in the exterior wall in order to provide depth to the opening and allow for the windows to be trimmed out on the exterior in a way that matches the double hung windows of the existing home.
